In 1880 to 1903 The Department was known as the Dale Fire Protection Association.  A horse drawn fire cart was used, with the cart being kept at the fire hall. The Department had approximately 15 members. The Dale Fire and Rescue has since grown to 37 members in 2007.
First Responders were approved at the Annual Meeting in 1993. At present there are 16 First Responders.
